Canadian National Conservatory of Music will release Making Tracks - Small Town Canada (published by Mayfair /Montgomery) in the Spring of 2008 which will include Maryanne's intermediate piano solo Prairie Steeples.

Maryanne will adjudicate for piano classes at the Selkirk and Dictrict Piano Festival April 21-25, 2008. In March 2008 she was asked to adjudicate the Manitoba Composition Contest entries for the Associated Manitoba Arts Festivals competition.

CNCM Announces Selections for Piano Collection  Levels 1 and 2

Ms. Tenley Dyck has announced that the Selection Committee has chosen Maryanne's compositions Butterfly and Fun for Two  to be included in the book Northern Lights - An Exploration in Canadian Piano Music Levels 1 & 2.
A Gala celebration is planned for July 16, 2007 in Palmerston ON to launch this book as well as the book Making Tracks - Small Town Canada.

Ontario Teachers choose Selections for CMW Syllabus
Selections from Maryanne's elementary piano collection Sand Play were included in a Canada Music Week Syllabus developed by music teachers in Harriston, Drayton, Palmerston and Fordwich Ontario.

n the fall 2006 issue of The Canadian Federation of Music Teachers' journal, The Canadian  Music Teacher a composer was profiled from each province. This is to celebrate the upcoming Canada Music Week held November 19 – 25, 2006. Maryanne was selected by MRMTA's President as the composer to be profiled for Manitoba.

CNCM Announces Selections for Piano Collection

Ms. Tenley Dyck has announced that the Selection Committee has chosen Maryanne's composition Will Someone Please Play? to be included in the book Northern Lights - An Exploration in Canadian Piano Music. This is part of the larger CNCM Library Series being published by Mayfair/Montgomery.

This collection is the first book in a series of Pre-Grade One to Post Associate level Canadian repertoire. The collection includes works by composers from coast to coast, with a wide range of styles and character. It will also include notes, photos and biographies for each work and composer.

Another book being published is an all-encompassing level collection based on a train theme which is part of Making Tracks - An Expedition in Canadian Piano Music. Both of these appealing collections were premiered at Summer Sizzle (Palmerston, ON) and Summer Sizzle Da Capo 2006 (Yorkton, SK, Canada).

Further collections are planned for the future, and preliminary work is underway for a Grade 1 piano collection.
