CNCM Gala Concert  

CNCM has finalized selections for inclusion in the Northern Lights Level 6 collections. Maryanne's Creaky Chorale has been selected as one of the pieces in a Level 6 Collection.

Both Level 6 books will be launched at Summer Sizzle, CNCM's annual Pedagogy Symposium which will be held in Mount Forest, Ontario. July 18-20.  The year 2010 marks the 10th Anniversary of Summer Sizzle with many special events being planned.  		 July 18, 2010

CNCM Summer Sizzle Book Launch  
Northern Lights Level 5B released

A gala book launch of CNCM's next book in the Northern Lights series took place in July at the Annual Pedagogy Symposium. This series is produced by the Canadian National Convervatory of Music, which has a mandate of promoting Canadian composers to music students.

Maryanne's piano solo Wish Upon a Star was selected to be included in the new release from  hundreds of submissions.

Summer Teachers' Week  

Maryane conducted a workshop on musicianship which included aural skills, sight reading, solfege, keyboard harmony, sight transposition, and accompanying a simple melody.  The session  focused on beginner to level 6 students.

Student Composition Workshop

Maryanne worked with student composers on how to develop their ideas.

The event is sponsored by the Associated Arts Festivals in connection with the Provincial Finals.
